Rollickin Gelato 

You can't visit Christchurch, and not visit one of the two locations of Rollickin Gelato! There gelato's and sorbet's are fabulous and seasonally change. All gelato's are made with organic milk, delivered daily from free-range, happy go lucky cows in Rangiora. 
Rollicking Gelato is in two locations in the CBD. First is their dessert cafe at 35 New Regent Street, open to 10pm every day and the Arts Centre is open to 5.00pm daily. But be prepared.... sometimes there is a queue to get into this place, but all good things are worth waiting for.

Oi Manawa - Canterbury Earthquake National Memorial

The memorial provides a place to reflect on the events that changed Canterbury forever - paying respect to the 185 people who lost their lives on 22 February 2011 and those who were seriously injured. It acknowledges the shared trauma and support received with the recovery operation that followed. It comprises a reflective space on the north bank of the river and a Memorial Wall on the south bank.

The Tannery

The Tannery is a boutique shopping emporium on the banks of the Heathcote River in Woolston, Christchurch, New Zealand. The old industrial precinct from the 19th century is now home to a retail complex boasting stunning architecture and art, and home to a concentration of boutique shops; a hub of creativity and hospitality, retail, craft and entertainment.

Scorpio Books 

Established 40 years ago, Scorpio Books is a Christchurch institution. It is the best place to go to browse and buy books in Christchurch, or if you get stuck, they encourage you to ask their knowledgeable staff for a recommendation. With old-fashioned leather chairs strategically placed around our shop, it is easy to spend hours here. Located in the BNZ Centre, at 120 Hereford Street, it makes it an easy place to visit, while attending the conference.
